IT services in
Mataró.
About 20 km from Granollers along the C-60, around 25 minutes by road. Mataró is the capital of the Maresme: 131,370 residents in 22.5 km², a higher density than Mollet del Vallès. IT support, networks, Wi-Fi and cameras for shops, offices, homes and the businesses on its seven industrial estates. The call-out is quoted separately; remote support doesn't depend on distance.
What we do in Mataró
Same team and same rates as in Granollers. The call-out to Mataró is quoted separately depending on the job; remote support, websites, hosting and marketing don't depend on distance.
Seven industrial estates, 900 businesses and 66 cameras that aren't yours
Mataró's industry is spread across seven business parks and industrial estates: Mata-Rocafonda, Pla d'en Boet, Balançó i Boter, Hortes del Camí Ral, Vallveric, El Rengle I and El Rengle II. According to the town council, in July 2025 they were home to some 900 businesses employing more than 11,000 people. And since 2023 the local police have monitored six public areas with 66 municipal cameras. Those are two concrete, public facts, and they explain well what people here ask for: business networks that are up to the job, and cameras where the city's don't reach.
Seven industrial estates and a service-sector city
The best known is Mata-Rocafonda, with 166 businesses and around 1,500 workers. Work is due to start in 2027 on a 46-metre footbridge over the Sant Simó stream linking it to the Rocafonda neighbourhood, a €1 million project with €720,000 from the Diputació de Barcelona. That grant is for urban integration and accessibility: the Diputació's announcement makes no mention of fibre ducting for Mataró, and nobody publishes street by street which operator reaches each unit today, so we're not going to make it up. What is clear is the weight of services: 85.6% of the city's general social security registrations are in that sector (Idescat, June 2026). For a business on an industrial estate or a shop in the town centre, what makes the difference is the internal network: cabling, Wi-Fi for the factory floor and office, separation between the customer network and the work network, and backups.
The street is monitored; your premises aren't
In March 2023 the town council began installing 66 cameras at 38 monitoring points, with an investment of €1.6 million: plaça de Miquel Biada, carrer de Rosselló, parc de Rocafonda, the Pla d'en Boet nightlife area, plaça de Santa Anna and the Rambla, and the Pla d'Impuls al Centre area. Twenty of them are number-plate readers, and all are viewed from the local police control room. That system watches the public street. The inside of a shop, the till, the stockroom or the door of a factory unit remain the owner's business, with their own obligations, starting with the CCTV warning sign. That's where the security cameras we install come in: just a few, well placed and recording only what they should.
Clear from the very first quote
20 km along the C-60
Mataró is about 25 minutes from Granollers. When we need to go out, the call-out is shown separately on the quote, before we start.
Remote first
If it's a software, email or settings issue, it can often be solved remotely, with no call-out to pay for.
From flat to factory
We'll fine-tune the Wi-Fi in a flat just as readily as we'll set up the network and cameras for a factory on an industrial estate.
What working in Mataró is like
Mataró is, above all, flats. According to the 2021 census, almost half of main homes are between 61 and 90 m², only 8.6% exceed 120 m² and almost one in four is rented. Here the problem is rarely the speed you're paying for: it's where the router is — at the end of the hallway, inside a cabinet or in the wrong room. A well-placed access point or a small mesh system is usually enough without any building work, and in a rented flat that matters.
The city's economy is service-based: retail, hospitality, offices and surgeries. What matters most here isn't speed but order: the POS and customer Wi-Fi kept separate from the work network, a backup that can genuinely be restored, and customer or patient data stored as the GDPR requires.
At the edges of the municipality the city changes: Valldeix, Mata, the Cirera forest park, the Cinc Sénies and developments such as Can Bruguera, Can Quirze, Can Vilardell, la Fornenca and les Sureres. Houses on slopes or farmhouses among market gardens, where before talking operators it's worth checking line of sight for a radio link or open sky for Starlink. As the call-out is quoted separately, we try to solve remotely everything we can and keep visits for the jobs that genuinely need one.
About Mataró
How long does it take to get from Granollers to Mataró, and how is the call-out charged?+
About 20 km along the C-60 and around 25 minutes without traffic, based on the route calculation between the two town halls that we use to plan call-outs. In Mataró the call-out is quoted separately, depending on the job, and we tell you before we start. Anything that doesn't depend on distance carries no call-out: remote support (a reinstall, antivirus, email, setting up a computer), web development, hosting and marketing are all done just the same from Granollers. Network, camera or radio link installations do require a visit, and in that case the quote itemises the call-out.
Do you work with businesses on Mataró's industrial estates?+
Yes. Mataró has seven business parks and industrial estates (Mata-Rocafonda, Pla d'en Boet, Balançó i Boter, Hortes del Camí Ral, Vallveric, El Rengle I and El Rengle II) with some 900 businesses and more than 11,000 workers, according to the town council in July 2025. Mata-Rocafonda alone is home to 166 businesses and around 1,500 workers, and work is due to start in 2027 on a footbridge over the Sant Simó stream that will link it to the Rocafonda neighbourhood. For a business on an industrial estate we provide internal networks and Wi-Fi for the factory floor and office, perimeter and entrance cameras, backups and computer support. What we don't publish is which operator reaches each unit: there's no public street-by-street source, and we're not going to make it up.
If the council already has cameras, do I need my own?+
Probably, yes, because they watch different things. Since 2023 Mataró has had 66 municipal cameras at 38 monitoring points across six areas (plaça de Miquel Biada, carrer de Rosselló, parc de Rocafonda, the Pla d'en Boet nightlife area, plaça de Santa Anna and the Rambla, and the Pla d'Impuls al Centre area), with 20 number-plate readers and an investment of €1.6 million. They're monitored by the local police and they cover public streets. The inside of your shop, the till, the stockroom or the door of a factory unit are your responsibility, and a private camera comes with its own obligations, starting with the sign. We help you decide how many you need, where they go and how they record.
What about Valldeix, Mata or the developments up in the hills?+
Mataró isn't just urban grid. The municipality includes rural areas such as Valldeix, first recorded back in the year 949, Mata and the Cirera forest park; residential developments such as Can Bruguera, Can Quirze, Can Vilardell, la Fornenca and les Sureres; and the Cinc Sénies, more than 200 hectares of market gardens between Mataró and Sant Andreu de Llavaneres, classified as non-buildable land. In a farmhouse or an isolated house, where a conventional connection is tricky or simply unavailable, that's where it makes sense to consider a radio link or Starlink, and where a Wi-Fi mesh network covers a plot with several buildings well. We don't give coverage percentages by street, because there's no reliable public source that publishes them.
Do you work with households or only businesses in Mataró?+
Both. Mataró is a city of flats: according to the 2021 census it has 48,140 main homes, almost half of them between 61 and 90 m², only 8.6% over 120 m² and 23.9% rented. In a home like that, the usual job is repositioning or extending the Wi-Fi without building work, repairing a laptop or recovering photos from a drive that has stopped responding. On the business side, 85.6% of the city's general social security registrations are in services: shops, offices, surgeries and hospitality, for which we set up networks, POS systems, cameras and backups. We provide ongoing support whether you're a private individual or run a business in Mataró.
